Might As Well Claim There Are Monsters Under The Bed

From Album 5
Reductio ad absurdum in all its political glory. Christ -- it's no secret that the world is a dangerous place, but the degree to which the Repugs will play the fear card...unfuckingbelievable.

  1. Yes, keep the people of this country very, very afraid. Afraid of our own shadows would be just fine by these moronic asshats. And the supposed source for this? The bloody idiot, Duncan Hunter, who has been named the stupidist human on the internet. That Hunter was ever elected, then re-elected tells me what I knew years ago, parts of California are as stupid as parts of any state in this country.
Well, this reminds me of an old cartoon from a long ago magazine. In the cartoon, a guy in a lab coat comes into another lab, they others are at desks or microscopes, apparently a biology sort of work area. He announces to them all; "Good news. Everything causes cancer!". Clowns like this Cotton asshat want us to see "terrerists" everywhere, even under our beds no doubt.
Yes sir, keep us all fat, lazy, and above all uninformed to the point of utter stupidity. And some wonder why I trust so very, very few politicians or other public figures. As Mark Twain once said, there is no criminal class in America, unless one counts politicians. That quote is not an exact one, but damn close. He was right then and even today, more so. Add the TV news readers to it today, a thing not available in his life time.
    Stay safe young man.

  2. Great Twain quote--by coincidence, I'm finally reading Life on the Mississippi, which is at Project Gutenberg...anyway, fear and ignorance sure make for difficult foes. Sigh.

Have a good weekend. Over here will try to get some things done...take it easy.
