First, sure, he's a dumbass. And we can hope he's a one-off, a particularly egregious fluke...but...probably not. After Trump got elected, it hit me: his base voted for equally awful George W. Bush...but probably thought he was a little too, you know, soft and sophisticated.
Which means...we either have to outvote them...or accept that a fair number of our fellow citizens are way too comfortable with casual fascism...well, for my tastes.
