Yeah, sure, we can pretend, but c'mon--TFG was looking to grift as much as his stubby little fingers and tiny ham hands could stuff into his pockets.

His reaction to the walls closing in is pretty much what you'd expect.  

Will the indictment change anyone' mind. No, probably not. 

Will it--and/or the upcoming trial--reveal what kind of nation we are?

Bigoted immigration policies turn out to be bad for business.

Duh. 

Anecdotal, but in my experience, immigrants, documented or not, look for jobs, not handouts. 

Particularly here in the United States, with its pretty threadbare safety net.
