To add to the lunacy, there's an actual bill (co-sponsored by George Santos--of course) to designate the AR-15 as the National Gun of the USA.
While I don't think it was used in Orlando, the idea of naming a national gun in a time when mass murders barely make it through a few news cycles is, well, about as disgraceful as it gets.

A lot of wailing and tooth gnashing from the usual suspects, who don't seem to get that Ukraine is defending themselves from an unprovoked attack that's resulted in a lot of horrific and totally unnecessary deaths.
