Don't get me wrong -- I'm VERY happy Obama's got a second term. Gawd, the very idea of a Romney-Ryan administration still makes me gag, and when the president's rhetoric rises to the occasion like it did today, wow.

But I'm also a realist. Knowing that today's "socialist" would have been comfortably in the Republican fold as recently as the late 80s means that at best progressives can only hope to hold on. Obama's re-election would seem to confirm this, but we'll see just how crazy the crazies in Redumblicanland are willing to be.

But, celebrate while you can, I guess, and today's a celebratory day...as well as a chore day here at the house. Catch you tomorrow.
