One more thought re: the George Santos telenovela, and it's only my opinion, but based on a fair bit of observation (in other words, I'm a news junkie)...it seems the noise machine, with Fox front and center, drives pretty much all news coverage, including the big hitters.
In other words, shit show.

For me the bigger interest is watching the GOoPers turn on one of their own.
Kind of inevitable, given Santos's youth and, ahem, background to the extent it can be determined (just a bit too ethnic, which on its own might be ok, but combined with everything else...).
Funnier still is that background aside, he's really the perfect representation of the GOP.
No there there, not to mention nothing by way of policy or agenda besides own the libs and fake it till you make it

If Democrats were exercising their 5th Amendment rights, the Fox noise machine would be up to 11, and even the elite librul media would adopt a negative tone that would be somewhere between condemnation and more-sorrow-than-anger, depending on whether it was CNN or MSNBC.
But it's the GOP...so it'll be dumped down the memory hole in a cycle or two.
