Of course Robert Taft was eclipsed a few generations ago, but there's no question who leads the Grand Old Cult now.
And sure, it's Iowa, it's a caucus, there was a blizzard followed by a brutal Midwest deep freeze (side note, have some personal experience with that); anyway, it's TFG's show.
And if someone finds him, hmm, crude and offensive, not to mention racist, fascist, and just plain evil, well...don't think you can find an alternative within the cult, formally known as a political party. It won't be there.
As others note, don't look at the odds, look at the stakes.
