Well, when your campaign is crashing and burning like the Hindenburg at Lakehurst, I guess there's not much more you can do...maybe claim your opponent is Satan incarnate...but generally speaking, in a democracy, even one as flawed as this one, labeling political opponents as enemies -- if not enemies of the state -- is playing a dangerous game.
