Vitter: I Am Become Diaper Man, Destroyer of Prescription Drug Systems
From 2Millionth Web Log

Dave has an interesting conception of what "good neighbor" means. More seriously, Vitter's representative of a certain pathology in the political system. Repeatedly, wingnut pols emphasize their desire to destroy stuff...and if we don't watch out, what they'll destroy is America.

Bronze for PBJ
From 2Millionth Web Log

Countdown tags Bobby as merely third worst today; while the hypocrisy is certainly true big time, I'll also say PLEASE, YES, and the sooner the better. Rail between New Orleans and Baton Rouge just makes sense, for all sorts of reasons.

And I'll still be kinda, sorta young four years from now.

And, as far as I'm concerned, it's still Dubya's war.

On the Second Amendment

First, yes, I'm aware that "Chris" is black/African American if you prefer; however, the public posturing by wingnuttia (which in my mind fairly screams "small weenie") is for the most part a militia or at least militia wanna be thing, which tends towards honky redneck...

And something tells me that if non-honky rednecks decided that they too wished to demonstrate their fealty to the Second Amendment, the reaction would be not unlike that in California when the Black Panther Party so expressed themselves: Ronald Reagan--yes, THAT Ronald Reagan--signed the Mulford Act which prohibited open carrying of firearms in California.

Because the plain truth is that an armed society is NOT a polite society (e.g. Iraq.) An armed society is comprised of either paranoid individuals who thing the world is out to get them...or one where life is nasty, brutish, and short.

Yes, I know you're not supposed to speak ill of the dead, but Robert Novak contributed a particular degree of ugliness to the political discourse...

Day Off

OK, was going to try to post something, but I've got friends coming in and I'm elbow deep in prepping some gumbo...thanks for stopping by, and I'll be able to post tomorrow. Until then.
