Slate claims the CATS program started in World War II, but the picture above suggests an even earlier origin.

Have a good weekend.

To See or Not to See
From Album3

Cross posted at First Draft.

I feel like I've seen more than enough shots of the gory, bloody reality of war; however, Steve Clemons and Jon Stewart (Update: and Eugene Robinson) make cases to release the Kracken picture...

Oh, and a fun trivia fact -- I noticed that the post below is number...6,660...

I want to prance around with his head on a pike.

Which turns out to be quite the flip-flop.

The Tribe Has Spoken
From Album3

So, anything exciting happen while I was in New Orleans?

I'll skip a link given that bin Laden might actually be generating more traffic than porn today; however, to be a little more serious, yes, good riddance. Personally I would have preferred seeing a real trial and conviction, followed by consignment to mind numbing supermax lockdown, but modern society demands as much blood as its medieval antecedent.

Anyway, praise where it's due, particularly to the team that undertook the raid. You know, I might be a liberal/progressive/lefty, but I'm also the kid of a career military officer (and a very good one). Life can be complicated that way.

Also credit to the Obama administration.

Catch you tomorrow.
