But minus a bomb cyclone, can only hope 2018 has nowhere to go but up.

Speaking of bomb cyclone, say hello to global warming...not endless summer, but winter storms that more closely resemble summer hurricanes. Sure, one weather event is only that, but it's also a preview of the new normal. How do with deal with this every winter?

And this is the damned coldest-for-the-longest I recall since moving back almost 20 years ago. I like a break from heat and humidity as much as anyone, but geez.

Oh, and DJT's still an ass. But you already knew that.

Just A Quick Reminder

Otherwise, got nothing today, alas. As I'm sure you know, it's cold by local standards, and my holiday was totally shot to holes. Spent it on pins and needles worrying about the house, the heat...the water.

On that note, looks like the pressure valve on the water heater picked a hell of time to act up. Fortunately it's not a castrophe -- yet, knock on wood -- and by blind luck I found a plumber who's available...tomorrow. Hope for the best.

In the meantime, this was something I put together a while back and haven't had a chance to use. So...the first for 2018. I guess the way this year's started, nowhere to go but up? Damn sure hope so...
