I'm inclined towards Gore Vidal's take on any truther nonsense (paraphrasing), that the Bush administration was too incompetent, but the
bombshell op-ed by Kurt Eichenwald doesn't surprise me.
A major terrorist attack doesn't just happen out of the blue.
And Condoleezza Rice, in open testimony, pretty much admitted the Bushies had more than enough warnings,
"but they don't tell us when; they don't tell us where; they don't tell us who; and they don't tell us how."
Maybe it's just me, but I thought the job of the National Security Adviser, or at least certain management and operational levels of that and other similar agencies, was to go find out "where, who, and how," or at least give it their all in trying.
But I suppose it would be impolite to ask that, especially after Bush, Cheney, and the whole damn administration chose to wear 9/11 like a badge of honor instead of shame...and then use it for politics.
Oh, and once again the anthrax attacks have been forgotten. Just saying.
