The Purge

Kind of doubt this is any sort of 11-dimensional chess here, more an old classic staple of, I dunno, professional wrestling or reality television. 

Don't know if TFG has any real understanding, maybe he gets it a little, but his kneejerk/fallback -- say something, anything, for hype, clicks, or whatever, makes it easy for lazy, elite media types. 

Beats actually reporting on stuff. 

However, when, like TFG, thoughts rattle around your head like the little ball in a can of spray paint, playing for TV ratings could have a negative effect on...votes.

Or one can hope.
