OK, a bit of a stretch, but hear me out.
The Biden classified document nonsense is getting the usual treatment from the DC elite political press in addition to the blaring from the noise machine.
It's been at the top of the news cycle for a few weeks, with every action thoroughly examined, parsed, analyzed...when they've run out of anything else, they'll consider the "optics," i.e., how can we bullshit it into something damaging.
At last, Both Sides...
The Santos story, in contrast, had zero traction until he pulled out a minor upset in a race that the elite press in New York did everything to tilt in his direction, including a great big yawn when provided oppo research from the Democratic candidate. Hell, once they finally took a look, they blamed the Democrat for not spoon feeding them even more thoroughly.
It's the same with TFG. Sure, they'll eventually dig deep, and occasionally publish a long, drawn out expose--which itself will get less play because of the sheer length.
And then it gets lost in the glare of whatever garbage is spewed by him, or his surrogates, or the GOP generally.
Rinse, repeat (repetition is the key), and call it a day.
Which explains how we got to this point.
Sigh.
Have a good weekend.
