So, I guess elite journos are MAGAts, too. 

Compare/contrast their reactions to Hur and Mueller, but note in both cases whatever talking point being pushed by MAGA or wingnuttia or whatever became the accepted standard, and anything that didn't fit the narrative was brushed aside or drowned out. 

And while MAGA/TFG certainly makes it embarrassingly clear, i.e., the press routinely accepts as fact utter horseshit, this began, well, probably even longer ago, but certainly in the immediate post-Watergate era, when the consensus was that they went too far in hounding, um, Dick Nixon (sigh).

Hell, Nixon got caught because he was on tape committing a felony. 

TFG is also on tape committing a felony...and the MAGAt-media's blathering/tweeting about optics...or waiting for the next tidbit from high-level sources (i.e., their MAGA/wingnut drinking buddies). 

Even with all that, there's a decent change we'll get through it. TFG is popular, but not popular enough, despite the ocean of water so many idiots are hauling for him.
