I think it would be a great idea to make this guy the public face of their movement.

Doing what I can to pull something sort of positive out of the ongoing shit show, it's been interesting watching small people like Little Marco show their true selves under Orange Narcissus's spell, and instructive seeing how he brings out the absolute worst in people.
And thanks to IOKIYAR, they'll never have to pay.
We will.
He'd probably call the original building "a fantastic piece of property," or something similar.
Added bonus, explicitly racist language in the EO.
Sigh.
Have a good weekend.
Sickening is the only way to describe, especially given it's for show, a particularly depraved shock and awe designed to terrorize and intimidate.
Though the victims -- and they're victims -- are suffering horribly and will continue to suffer trauma long after they've hopefully been released.
This is really, really bad.
I'm sure they'll eventually step up their game and go from comically horrible to tragically horrible...
I was recently thinking, sure, the techbros can create a website where you can order a sandwich, but lord knows you couldn't trust them to actually make the sandwich you order from the site.
Turns out I might have been overly optimistic about the web site stuff.
One way to solve a problem is to create massively larger ones that make the initial ones pale in comparison, but I don't think that's a recommended practice.
Can't decide if I should caption with but-her-emails or eggs-are-so-darned-expensive...either way, a long week here so posting a picture from the archives.
Have a good weekend.
Kind of cliche with today's picture, oh well.
Skipping a link again, it was a long and not at all pleasant week over here, and I'm sure you get the picture, pun intentional.
Have a good weekend.
Nest eggs, that is.
So, they're going after the trust fund.
If there's a recession or depression, the price of eggs could drop.
But if you've given away your pension, it won't matter how cheap they are..
Sigh.
Really busy here, so I'll skip a link, but over the weekend it occurred to me that the random viciousness of the last month and a half is more than a little similar to the accusations of random viciousness TFG used to level against minorities (e.g., The Central Park Five case).
Funny how that goes.
Projection isn't just for slides.
To me the tell is no one's really pushing back.
Democratic politicians would never get away with a lib/left equivalent.
More likely they'd fracture the caucus.
Have a good weekend.
Didn't watch, did read the transcript, saw a few highlights.
No need to link to anything.
Four years of it.
I won't watch -- I'm actually cleaning my oven.
Yeah, would rather do that.
Here's what some of the Democrats are doing.
Well, that was something.
Gotta hope there's buyer's remorse somewhere out there.
Have a good weekend.
I won't bother linking to anything, I'm sure you've seen/read/heard that New TFG is pretty much what anyone paying attention expected, with maybe a little more flailing/flop sweat than otherwise expected this early on.
Geez -- I knew he was dumb, but apparently he and the rest believe their rhetoric, hence the repeated stepping on rakes.
Would be funny and even instructive, a white male implosion for the ages, if it wasn't so destructive.
When the chips were down he slunk into his shell and snapped it shut tightly.
If history loses Mitch in the MAGA glare of this era, it'll be, I dunno, something kind of, sort of, positive, I guess.
And, yeah, this is ugly, but I hope before he fully sunsets he's aware of the damage he did and that he won't even get to gloat--MAGAs tossing him out.
Team TFG Beta is shaping up to be the mother of all epic disasters, or, and praise be to Sweet Flying Spaghetti Monster if this is the case, a made for television distraction, minus the very real and totally unnecessary pain some will suffer.
Nice going, everyone.
And the price of eggs is -- trying -- to kill representative democracy.
Well, maybe we can give the price of eggs a break, no pun intended.
They'll be delivering Oregon Trail.
Either way, it's a goddamn video game, though the dysentery and death might get very real.
More seriously, while I'm still really afraid of the damage they can do, there is a certain epic-fail-gang-that-can't-even-load-their-own-weapon-much-less-shoot-it-straight quality to the sorry spectacle.
They're trying to avenge...what? The 1980s?
Obviously trolling, and add a hefty dose of spite with revoking Biden's security clearance, though I think the reveal is the coverage--to repeat again, no way could any Democrat do this without enormous pushback from not just the GOP but the media and from within the party.
That's how tilted the playing field is.
Have a good weekend.
I'm sure you've seen the reports so I won't bother with a link, but...
At the moment I'm personally in a kind of denial, watching the train wreck and the surprisingly meh reaction from the various overlords.
However, at some point there will be a tipping point.
And when that happens, the pain won't be limited to a few. Just saying.
The lesson -- which we'll be learning the hard way -- of the difference between reality and reality television continues.
Thus far, TFG the sequel is like most remakes.
And the original wasn't exactly an era of good feelings.
Or Madison Cawthorn or Epstein (Epstein managed to be bipartisan, but whatever).
But tell me again about how the GOP is the party of family values.
And Christianity.
