William Kristol was his usual idiotic self last night on The Daily Show. On a more personal level, my own pediatric care was through the military--my dad was a career officer--and I had no complaints then (ok, I was a kid) and no complaints now...but the point is that military care is run, very effectively, by the government, as Kristol himself noted.
It's also not just trauma care for wounded soldiers. It's a huge system that handles a comprehensive set of health related needs for soldiers and their families. Bill Kristol demonstrates a profound degree of shallowness in his understanding of how the system works...and it wasn't a particularly good joke if that was his point.
Neither is a broken health care system.
