OK, I'm skeptical that escalating the war in Afghanistan will amount to much good; that said, President Obama made his case in as thoughtful and mature manner as possible...and does anyone want to imagine what the situation would be like in a bizarro-world McCain/Palin administration?

One thing, though--I sure as hell hope the private conversations aren't at all like the ones that preceded the Johnson administration's decision to escalate Vietnam (thanks to Library Chronicles for the link.)
