Yes, Star Trek did have many progressive ideas. Amazing how they had a Black woman as a main character. She was one with some real position, not just there as eye candy. Not sure if I was a fan of it when it first ran, probably too busy with life and my first job that paid real wages. I sacked groceries while in high school. Yeah, kids could get real part time jobs back then. Enjoy your weekend. At least Saturday is supposed to be sunny, no rain. Of course our forecast calls for rain Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and then, maybe, I hope a day or so with no rain. It is even supposedly going to be a bit warmer up here even with the rain, into the 70's at least once and mid 60's on other rain days. Just take your time with that flooring, you'll do just fine. Tigger may even help…..LOL. I know how "helpful" cats can be when you don't really need that sort of help. cheers Michael.
Saturday was reasonably productive -- yet another sinkhole showed up in the yard, but I've got plenty of bricks and brick fragments that, with some extra gravel I had from a previous project, made an ok fill. Just wish they wouldn't show up...but...in the front, it's a legacy from when they repaired a collapsed sewer line. Don't know about this one -- it wasn't where they dug/backfilled. Well...at least it looks ok.
The floor might be delayed -- again. Just heard today that, pending major reorganization at work, it's probably not wise to request much time off this month. So it goes. Well...that'll give me time to measure...and measure again. And yeah, Tigger will be "helping." Sigh. He means well...he's just, as I said, a little spoiled. And that's my own fault.
As for Star Trek -- never really watched a lot, neither the show nor the movies, though...if I wasn't doing anything else, it was ok, and yeah, but standards of the day, pretty good. Also have enjoyed The Twilight Zone, which you can stream at Amazon.com. Ah...good writing.
Well, time to get back to stuff over here. Hope your weekend went ok. Down here, yeah, more rain, but milder temps. Hope the latter doesn't portend more insects, but it probably does. Once the weather clears, it's also yard maintenance season. Don't have much of a yard, but if I don't do it, it doesn't get done. But that's ok. Once I start, I don't mind...and I've got one of those really old style reel lawn mowers. No gasoline. Not that I object to people using gas mowers if they've got a big lawn - growing up, that was necessary. But I like not having a big yard..or having to store gasoline.
