What's even more frustrating is that the story is already fading from the headlines after little more than a day. Think about that: the media half-life of a mass shooting in the USA -- oh, and one in Germany just over a week ago -- is a few news cycles. Almost like it's just...normal.

On a more mundane note, apologies for the longer than anticipated absence. But, was good to get away and rest for a bit.
Will try to resume a more normal schedule...though what is normal in a world where mass shootings generate little more than a round of empty thoughts and useless prayers?
