With luck it will be forgotten, but there's zero benefit and more than a small chance it will cause a fair amount of resentment, or at least provide an excuse to any fence sitters.
Worst of all, if this is an attempt to win over any of the MAGAt...laff. No way. Has anyone told the senator that DJT supported the full payout? And you can be assured he'll still be accused of being a big gubmit socialist.
