Not a comment on Senator Sinema's appearance, but goddamn, even if a deal gets ironed out, playing political games during an ongoing pandemic/economic crisis, while there's also a fiscal cliff meltdown looming (and bullshit re: costs -- the proposals are affordable, and besides, if Bear Stearns, B of A, AIG, etc., are too big to fail, the reigning superpower is as well)...
The soap opera posturing alone is worth condemning. That's the ugly.
Same with Manchin, and anyone else.
The administration and the rest of the party have bent over backwards.
Torpedoing this won't be a badge of independence.
It will be the self-own of all time.
Do they really think Mitch McConnell's going to have their back?
