I suppose there are some people who call themselves believers who manage to twist logic to the extent that they can call the Gaza invasion justified...but I don't feel I'm doing them any injustice when I question the basis of their "faith."

That's not a God worthy of the title as far as I'm concerned.

Meanwhile, sure, it's a tiny drop in an ocean-sized bucket, but maybe one thing we can do is vote for Juan Cole for Best Middle East or Africa blog in this year's Weblog awards. Again, it's miniscule compared to the suffering, but a tiny step/vote in favor of reasoned dialogue is better than acceptance of the position of more violent insanity.
