Wingnuttia's all atwitter--and for those who twitter, twittering (masturbating) furiously--with umbrage that a big mean buck like Henry Louis Gates, Jr. (I mean, c'mon, just look at how HUGE and scary, um, Professor, Gates is)...anyway, one, that Leroy, um, I mean Henry Louis Gates might not appreciate being arrested in his own house, and two, that President Stokley-Kwame-Toure-Hussein-Behold-My-Birth-Certificate-Written-in-Arabic-Script might not accept the "official" police report which of course is as literally true as the King James Bible.

It's late, and anyone stopping by has certainly hit the pertinent links so I'll skip them, but, to be serious for just a moment...you don't have to know who Henry Louis Gates, Jr. is to see VERY clearly that he's very definitely NOT suspect material, particularly after he produced identification demonstrating that he was in his HOME.

Imagine how Rush Lamebone might have reacted in a similar situation if it'd been, say, in 2003...and if a subsequent search and seizure had revealed his stash of hillbilly heroin...
