Interestingly, it's a Republican State Senator--Julie Quinn--who's sponsoring a bill (.pdf) that allows citizens to sue contractors who supplied toxic drywall for construction projects.
An argument against unfettered free trade AND restrictions on legal remedy/lawsuits. Not normally Republican talking points...but I'll give credit where it's due.
