Something I find sadly informative re: Newt's latest 'intellectual' flatulence is the response from the political press, which is to assume that this dessicated creep is saying something newsworthy.
Not two weeks ago, this same Newt Gingrich demonstrated quite clearly that he was and remains an ass and buffoon, using the public airwaves to throw a tantrum about remarks made by Nancy Pelosi...remarks that turn out to be "probably right."
But the political reporters either have the attention span of gnats...or the mentality of gossip columnists. Actually, I apologize--to gossip columnists, who make no claim towards serious journalism.
Oh, and I see Karl Rove's doing his thing, snottily dismissing Judge Sotomayor as a "schoolmarm," which, come to think of it, is roughly akin to the insults hurled at Kathleen Blanco in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the flood. Figures.
Childish insults hurled from people with the mentality of twelve year olds...Republican Party 'leadership.'
