Because Faux Noise cannot do news that matters to regular people? Or, because it IS Faux Noise. I cannot understand why people actually watch Faux Noise.
Oh, sadly...I do understand. My mom is a committed viewer -- sigh -- love my mom, but she's the one forwarding all the weird internet rumors, etc., and good old Faux appeals to her, well, prejudices.
So...the house rule -- really, because it's when we visit at her house -- is to just let it slide...all things are temporary, and, if nothing else, I usually pack a decent bottle of wine...
Don't know how to solve the problem, though: sure, some say that generation will pass on, etc., but new generations are just as capable of regressive thought. Like, for instance, my own. Think I've mentioned this before, but a ton of folks my age bought the Reagan mythology hook, line, sinker...rod and reel. But I dunno: maybe their kids, who are growing up in tougher times, might finally reject that particular fever...
