Meanwhile, the only person on record as considering a run against Vitter--Stormy Daniels--was in Baton Rouge yesterday, stopping by the Roux House...which, under different management, was a regular haunt of mine back in the day. While I still think this is more self-promotion for Ms. Daniels, I'll give her some credit: regardless of motive, opposing a certified liar and general creep like Vitter is admirable in its own right. Go Stormy, though I think your proposal to scrap the progressive income tax in favor of a national sales tax is first, a non-starter, and second, a horrible idea. That said, you'd still be the lesser of evils in a race against Diaper Dave.
