And yet the elephants gang and their tea party followers want to eliminate the EPA. Mindless fools, or just plain stupid and greedy? I vote for both. Great photo. I enjoy the Friday Catblogging. Have a great weekend.
Hope you had a good weekend, Charlie. It warmed up a bit over here...and just having clean running water made it better than those poor folks in West Virginia.
Personally, I like electricity -- and cars to a lesser extent -- and I know that the former requires coal and the latter oil...but that shouldn't give them the absolute right to poison the water. I've watched Gasland, and it's not pretty...and there ARE ways to come up with some sort of balance. Personally, I'm VERY happy with the 2.1Kw solar electricity and solar assisted gas water heater I had installed in 2010. No, it wasn't cheap, and I'm still paying both off (minus the very generous tax credits that I think were unfortunately phased out), but it's one way to make a statement...and reduce my utility bill (once paid for). The system doesn't replace the grid (I'm grid tied as well, and need to be: the central a/c alone needs more than what I can reasonably produce, at least until I can afford to upgrade that)...but it does cut things a bit. It also means it doesn't have to be one or the other...and that's something wingnuts just don't seem to get.
