From Album 6
From July 2013, I think.

Have a good weekend.

  1. Very nice photo of Tigger.
As to yesterday and your comment back at me, it reminds me of something the shop foreman would say at my first job after the Marines, there never seems to be time to do the job right the first time, but there always seems to be enough time to do it over again. A round about way of the old saying, penny wise, pound foolish. As I have said many, many times and will do so again; America, what a country. Maybe some day things will get back to a more sane way of keeping this country running. I doubt it will happen in what life I have left though. t is the children I feel for, they didn't ask to be born into this mess and they will be the ones who have to clean it up. Well, Dad always told me that life is not fair.

  2. Oh, the whole conservative movement is penny-wise-pound-foolish...in part because when it comes to getting their hate on (against women, gays, blacks, latinos, whoever), their already not-real-good "reasoning" goes right out the window. A while back I saw a Lyndon Johnson quote, and I think I mentioned it then. Something about if you give them someone to hate, you don't even have to rob them...they'll give you their money. And that's how it goes. They'll spend twice as much on prisons as they would on jobs or public assistance...then they'll toss them into jail for non-violent drug offenses. Or they'll search far and wide for enemies. No more commies (well, except in China, but hey, who's counting them?) -- anyway, no more commies? Well...how about Muslims? Ironically, many of the same Muslims we financed and trained a generation ago (or their children). Meanwhile, some real issues: global warming, multiple or pan resistant harmful germs/bacteria...brain eating amoebas...oh, we can't do anything about that. Sigh.

Anyway, hope you weekend went ok. Down here it was sunny for the most part. A little chilly, but not intolerable. Began another house project. Am removing a closet in the bedroom. I no longer need it since the wall was removed a few years back, and the extra open space will make room for rearranging the place. Took down some sheetrock yesterday. Will try to be a little less messy this weekend.

And thanks for complimenting Tigger. Oh, I still think about him, and miss him. He was one for the ages -- just the right little guy for me.

    Take it easy.
