The Distancing Commences

From Album 5
Link -- it doesn't apply to Fiorina per se, but here's a link that does...and her rhetoric continues to be as vile as ever.

  1. On the first link; the vile we do lives on long after we are dead and gone. Just look at the nut balls who still praise Hitler. In truth, most of those idiots, no offense to real idiots intended, would have been sent to the camps faster than the Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, and other minorities. Yeah, these supposed xtians oppose abortion, but once the child is born alive are now where to be found to help raise said child. Not their problem. Hell, they give real hypocrites a very bad name. Might be time to invent a new word to describe their despicable behavior. Sick, disgusting, piss poor excuses for human beings, and I am trying very hard to stay polite here.
Ah yes, dear Carly. Well, I use the term dear as an act of sarcasm. Poor old HP, still reeling from her time as the person in charge of that once decent and innovative company. Thanks to Ms. Carly, it is now reduced to an also ran, a shell of what it once was. I bet the founders are spinning in their graves. That she has any following just gives us one more reason why this country is going down the tubes to third world status, fast, very damn fast. There is not enough money in the entire world to get me to trade places with anybody in their mid 20's, even with prefect health. Nope, rather be where I am now, piss poor health and long past my sell by date. Never thought I'd be so happy to be on the terminal side of this life. As I have said for decades, no matter how bad things are, they can always get worse. The current crop of US politicians are proving that in spades.
Hey, some good news, diaper Dave has stated some time back he will not run for re-election to the US senate. Oh, Darden has said HE will run for that office and is not afraid to run against diaper Dave again. Also, soon we will be rid of lil' Bobby Jindal. I hope the door does hit him in the ass on his way out. Just wish he could have the cell that ex-Gov. Edwards occupied for his prison time.
Well, hope your week goes well. We got a bit of rain today, more tomorrow and maybe Wednesday, but not much for total rainfall. Just enough to make driving nastier than usual.

  2. Yeah, it's still raining over here -- as it's done all day -- and I guess the cold front will finally move through and bring temperatures down. To tell the truth, colder temps might suit my mood. After moving back I promised myself to never complain about the heat, but I'm a good 25 -- 35 pounds heavier than in 1999, and 16 years older. I don't mind wearing long sleeves and sweaters.

Anyway, old Carly was just the tip of the iceberg. Today, they're all out in force, blaming the victim, i.e., Planned Parenthood brought it on themselves. Good lord. That said, yeah, good that Carly's an afterthought. Guess that's all we can hope for. Oh, the wingnut welfare providers will ensure she never has to actually work, not that she did while running HP into the ground.

Oh, back to PP -- you'd think these "conservatives" would welcome, you know, family planning. Hell, Ur/Paleo-wingnut Barry Goldwater was a big supporter of the organization. Duh. But it's never actually about children. It's all about punishing women, particularly poorer women, for being normal human beings.

    SIgh.

Agree with you on being, well, a little on the old side myself. As I've said before, people growing up right now are going to have some serious headaches, thanks to the children who comprise today's conservative movement. And prayer sure as hell isn't going to solve anything.

As for Dardenne running for Senate...yeah, better than Scott Angelle, whom I'm guessing will also run. Lesser of evils, but I appreciate Dardenne's commitment to the annual Book Festival. This year's festival was a wash out with rain, and I was trying to make Tigger as comfortable as possible, so I skipped it...but literacy, you know, what a concept. Might actually learn something. Works for me, though the more I read, of course the more I grasp how much I don't know. Too bad the non-readers tend to think...they know it all.

OK, end of rant. Need to go make some dinner. Take it easy.
